Official License Agreement
Effective Date: December 14, 2025
Licensor: ChromaCat Music (The Artist)
Licensee: You (The Subscriber)
By downloading a track from ChromaCatMusic.com, you agree to the following terms:
1. Grant of License
Upon downloading a music track ("The Asset") during an active subscription or via a one-time purchase, ChromaCat Music grants you a Non-Exclusive, Perpetual, Worldwide, Royalty-Free license to use The Asset in your creative projects.
2. Allowed Uses (What You CAN Do)
You have broad freedom to use the music in:
Online Video: YouTube, Vimeo, Social Media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X).
Live Streaming: Twitch, YouTube Live, Kick (VODs are safe).
Video Games: Indie games (PC, Console, Mobile), Visual Novels, Mods.
Podcasts & Audio: Intros, Outros, Background ambience, Audio Dramas.
Client Work: Projects you create for paying clients (e.g., a wedding video or a local commercial).
Student & Festival Films: Non-broadcast film projects.
3. Restrictions (What You CANNOT Do)
To protect the community and the artist, strictly prohibited actions include:
No Standalone Distribution: You cannot resell, lease, or give away the audio files as a standalone product (e.g., inside a "Music Asset Pack" or "Stock Library").
No Audio Streaming Uploads: You cannot upload the tracks to Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, or similar services as your own artist release.
No Content ID Registration: You cannot register The Asset (or any project containing The Asset) with YouTube Content ID, Facebook Rights Manager, or any other automated copyright detection system.
No "Music Only" Videos: You cannot publish the track as a standalone video (e.g., a static image with the song playing) where the music is the primary value. It must be part of a larger creative work (voiceover, gameplay, visuals).
4. Subscription & Ownership
The "Keep Forever" Clause: The license allows you to keep and use any track legally downloaded during your active subscription period in perpetuity.
Cancellation: If you cancel your subscription, you lose the ability to download new tracks, but you do not lose the rights to the tracks you already downloaded.
No Rollover: For the "Starter" plan, download credits reset every month. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month.
5. Liability & Warranty
ChromaCat Music guarantees that it owns 100% of the rights to The Assets and that use of The Assets in accordance with this agreement will not infringe on any third-party rights.
ChromaCat Music is not liable for any damages beyond the cost of the subscription fee paid.
